Assessing Field Work
The Assessing Department will be in the field this spring and summer updating property records, which means you may see them taking measurements and photographs in your neighborhood. Staff members conducting this work will carry City identification. Prior to beginning our work, we will be sending letters to the homeowners in the neighborhoods that we will be reviewing. We do not ask to inspect the interior, but we will knock on doors to inquire on the interior information. If no one is home at the time of the inspection, we will leave a note with those questions. We appreciate a response to our inquiry as it helps us to accurately assess your property. Reviews will be conducted between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday during the months of May through September.
