Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a quasi-judicial body that meets once a month interpreting the zoning ordinance and makes decisions based on factual evidence presented. The Board makes decisions regarding variances to the Zoning Ordinance, variances to the Sign Ordinance, appeals of nonconforming situations, ordinance interpretations, and appeals of administrative decisions. The responsibility of the Board is to maintain the highest integrity of the ordinance while exercising the authority to vary the ordinance in each individual circumstance based on the applicant’s clear demonstration of a practical difficulty or unnecessary hardship.
The ZBA meets the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Submittals are due 30 days prior to meeting. For meeting minutes prior to those listed, please visit the City's codification site: here.
