NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE ADOPTION OF A BROWNFIELD PLAN FOR THE
CITY OF BRIGHTON CITY COUNCIL
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing shall be held before the City of Brighton City Council on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom (see www.brightoncity.org for login information) on the adoption of a Brownfield Plan for the City of Brighton Brownfield Redevelopment Authority for property located at 1010 State Street in Brighton, Livingston County, Michigan, pursuant to Act 381 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1996, as amended.
The proposed Brownfield Plan would allow the City of Brighton Brownfield Redevelopment Authority to be reimbursed for eligible costs incurred to prepare the brownfield property for redevelopment. Eligible costs may include environmental and/or site preparation costs. The property description, maps, and the proposed Brownfield Plan are available for public inspection at www.brightoncity.org or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or calling 810-227-1911. All aspects of the Brownfield Plan are open for discussion at the public hearing.
The public hearing is an opportunity for citizens and taxing jurisdictions to learn about the project and voice their concerns. After the public hearing, the City of Brighton Brownfield Redevelopment Authority will consider adoption of the Brownfield Plan and referral for consideration and public hearing to the Brighton City Council.
