PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a meeting of the City of Brighton Zoning Board of Appeals will be held on Thursday, August 13, at 7:00 pm at City Hall, 200 N. First Street, Brighton, MI.
Harold Curley, 905 Madison St.is proposing to extend the existing porch in the front yard of the property and is requesting a variance from the required front yard setback. Chapter 98, Article Sec. 98-3.4, R-1 Single Family Residential, requires a minimum front yard setback of 25 feet. A variance of 9.2 feet is being requested.

Jon & Katie Martin, 210 S. 1st St. are proposing to construct a home and detached garage, and are requesting a variance from the required front and rear yard setbacks. Chapter 98, Article Sec. 98-3.4, R-1 Single Family Residential, requires a minimum front yard setback of 25 feet and a minimum rear yard setback of 35 feet. A variance of 8.2 feet from the front yard setback, and a variance of 30 feet from the rear yard setback are being requested.
ALL CONCERNED CITIZENS are encouraged to be present at this meeting to express their opinion on this matter, as public input is an important element in the Board deliberations. Furthermore, a Board decision on this matter is likely at this meeting.
