Rickett Road Utility Repair Road Closure

Rickett Road Utility Repair

Road Closure

The City of Brighton’s contractor will be performing a utility repair on Rickett Road between the railroad tracks and Grand River.  The work will consist of replacing the sanitary sewer main, removal and replacement of curbing, sidewalks, and driveway approaches as well as a repaving of the roadway.

The work is scheduled to begin on September 1st and will require a full road closure of both north and southbound Rickett Road in this area.  Please see the below map, which shows the proposed detour.  Construction is anticipated to last until late October to early November.  Full access will be available to all businesses, their customers and employees and all residents.

Please follow all detour and construction signage for your safety and the safety of those working in this area. When the detour location is determined, it will be shared in the coming weeks.

Please check our Facebook Page and website for updates and changes or call the DPW with any concerns.

The City thanks you for your patience while we perform this much needed maintenance to our infrastructure.
