Councilmember Jim Muzzin
Councilmember Jim Muzzin has lived in the City of Brighton since 1987.
He was first elected to City Council in 2003 and served as Mayor from 2011 to 2019. He has served as the liaison to the Brighton Area Fire Authority Board since 2007 and the Downtown Development Authority since 2011.
He started his city government involvement in 1995 when he was appointed to the City of Brighton Zoning Board of Appeals. In 1997, he was appointed to the City of Brighton Planning Commission. In 2003, he was elected Chairman of the City of Brighton Planning Commission and served in that role until his election to City Council in November 2003.
