Councilmember Bill Albert

Bill Albert was elected to Brighton City Council in November 2021. He is a graduate of Hillsdale College where he earnedBillAlbert his Bachelor of Arts degree in Financial Management and Politics. He was also a member of the football team where he played tight end. 

 

Bill and his wife Lauren were born and raised in Brighton and are Brighton High School alumni. Since moving back to his hometown, Bill became engaged with city government and in 2019 was appointed to the Downtown Development Authority. He operates with fiscal responsibility while working to maintain excellent services for our residents and a friendly environment for our businesses. He approaches every council meeting with the goal of working collaboratively with his fellow council members for the betterment of Brighton. His desire is to see our community continue to thrive while maintaining our small-town character.

 

Bill currently works as an underwriter in the insurance industry. He and Lauren enjoy living a few blocks from Main Street and being able to walk downtown to enjoy the farmers market, festivals, shops, and restaurants.
