Schools

The award-winning Brighton Public School District has four elementary schools, one intermediate school, one middle school and one high school located near downtown. Together, they serve more than 6,700 students from the Greater Brighton area.

Brighton also has a very active Community Education Program that uses school district facilities for many adult and youth recreation programs. It also benefits from a beautiful, new, and sizable district library constructed in 1996.

The City of Brighton is happy to partner with the educational system that serves the Greater Brighton area. The City Council and Brighton Board of Education meet regularly to discuss ways the two might partner to ensure maximum use of public resources for the benefit of students and the community.
