Livingston County Transportation Coalition
The Livingston County Transportation Coalition is a collection of elected officials, business leaders, and community stakeholders who came together to discuss a county-wide vision for public transit. The Brighton City Council passed a resolution to join and support the Coalition. The group vision seeks to address the lack of access to public transit for Livingston County’s transit-dependent population, anticipate changing demographics and preferences, increase economic development, and improve the quality of life for all county residents. Their collaborative vision includes expansion of on-demand transit, development of a bus system, exploration of regional rail, and implementation of safety measures to improve the experiences of bicyclists and pedestrians.
