Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Brighton, Michigan, at the City Hall, 200 North First Street, Brighton, Michigan, 48116 up to 10:00 a.m., prevailing local time, on Tuesday, June 18, and then publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of Contract 12766-24002-W1.
The Work consists of the installation of an owner-furnished prefabricated water booster station, reinforced concrete building foundation, and all necessary accessories, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, and site work as shown on the Drawings and described in the Project Manual. Site work includes approximately 240 lf of 4-inch water main installed by open-cut and directional drill methods, installation of two (2) check valve manholes on an existing 8-inch main, reinforced concrete driveway, bollards, and site restoration.
Bids shall be on a lump sum price basis.
Bidding Documents may be obtained on and after May 28, 2024. They may be obtained electronically in PDF format from the Engineer for free by contacting pat.christian@tetratech.com. Hard copies are available for purchase from the Engineer for the sum of $50 per set. Direct your requests to pat.christian@tetratech.com. Ground shipping with purchase is an additional $10 per set. Priority overnight shipping with purchase is an additional $20 per set. There will be no refunds or return of Bidding Documents. Requests may also be directed, with payment, to the ENGINEER at 3497 Coolidge Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823. The purchaser must supply the email address, telephone number and facsimile numbers along with street address of the individual or firm to whom addenda (if any) can be directed.
A Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or Bid Bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid.
The right is reserved by OWNER to accept any Bid, to reject any Bid, and to waive irregularities in Bids.
OWNER will not engage in unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, or unrelated disability. Bids from minority- and female-owned organizations are encouraged.
No Bids may be withdrawn after the above date and time for receiving Bids for a period of ninety (90) days.
