Department Overview
The Finance Department
is responsible for a significant variety of central
administrative support services and related direct customer
service functions:
- Daily accounting and financial reporting
- Maintaining the integrity of all cash receipting and
processing
- Tax collection and related administration for the City,
School District, County, DDA and LDFA
- Water and sewer utility billing and related collection
services
- Delinquent tax collection services/oversight
- Investment of City funds
- Payroll
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Budget preparation/analysis
- Annual external audit of the City's financial records
and accounting systems
- Property Assessments
The Finance Department also provides significant customer
service support at the front counter of City Hall.
