Finance Department Overview

Finance/Treasurer Counter at City HallThe Finance Department is responsible for a significant variety of central administrative support services and related direct customer service functions:

  • Daily accounting and financial reporting
  • Maintaining the integrity of all cash receipting and processing
  • Tax collection and related administration for the City, School District, County, DDA and LDFA
  • Water and sewer utility billing and related collection services
  • Delinquent tax collection services/oversight
  • Investment of City funds
  • Payroll
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Budget preparation/analysis
  • Annual external audit of the City's financial records and accounting systems
  • Property Assessments

The Finance Department also provides significant customer service support at the front counter of City Hall.
