MDEQ Vapor Intrusion Information for Affected Residents

The Michigan Department of Environment Quality and the Livingston County Health Department are investigating vapor intrusion concerns near Brighton Road and Seventh Street. The Brighton High School is not affected. It is the intention of the DEQ and the County to install mitigation systems to address the risk. There is an informational meeting for residents scheduled for March 20, 2018 from 7pm - 9pm at the City of Brighton Community Center at 555 Brighton Street.

Vapor intrusions sometimes occur where chemicals were spilled, leaked, or dumped onto the ground and filter down into the ground water.
