The City of Brighton’s zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations, and sign ordinance are the most important tools our community has to influence growth and redevelopment. Recently, the City kicked off a project to update zoning standards and reformat the ordinance in a way that is more user-friendly. To assist the Planning Commission and City Council with this project, city staff, officials, residents, design professionals, and property owners are asked to participate in a ten-minute online survey
to offer input on any parts of the development regulations that they feel may be outdated, unclear, and/or confusing. The Planning Commission will be meeting monthly over the next 10-12 months to discuss amendments to the zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations, and sign ordinance; public comment will be appreciated through the process. The survey
is available through June 30, 2016..
