SNOW EMERGENCY IN EFFECT
PRESS RELEASE
{2/1/15}

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

WHO: Department of Public Works, City of Brighton

WHAT: Prohibition of all on-street parking along the City’s designated Emergency Snow Route

WHEN: Beginning at 11:00 AM, Sunday, February 1, 2015 until further notice

WHERE: The following streets are designated as the city’s emergency snow route;

Grand River Ave. from E. C/L to W. C/L
Challis Road from W. GRA to W. C/L
Main Street from W. C/L to E. C/L
S. Third Street from W. Main to Brighton Lake Rd.
Brighton Lake Road from W. C/L to E. GRA
Rickett Road from E. GRA to S. C/L
S. Church Street from E. GRA to Rickett
Spencer Road from E. Main to E. C/L
Liberty Street from W. GRA to Flint
Flint Road from Liberty to E. C/L

WHY: The national weather service has issued a winter weather advisory indicating potential for significant accumulation of snow.

MISC: All vehicles parked along the designated snow emergency route shall be towed by authorization of the Police Chief after all reasonable attempts are made to inform the vehicle owner. The owner(s) of said vehicle(s) towed shall pay all related fees
