Snowmelt, Stormwater Catchbasins, Potholes & such
Due to rising temperatures, we expect to see significant snowmelt & related increased drainage runoff into our stormwater catchbasins. We also anticipate blockages of catchbasin openings due to snow accumulations which could cause significant standing water at times, & then related freezing on street surfaces when temperatures drop. The warmer temperatures will also cause new potholes to open up. Our DPS workers will be working on continued snow cleanup related operations plus working on clearing catchbasin openings and patching potholes. We encourage all Brighton residents and business owners to contact either our DPS Office at 810-225-8001 or the City Manager's Office at 810-225-8022 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org to give us an address or street location where potholes need patched or snow needs to be cleared from catchbasin openings to allow snowmelt drainage. We will add those locations to the list for related follow-up maintenance work. DPS Staff and the City Manager will be checking messages left on both of the above phone lines and email on a continuous basis. Thank you for your help by getting these maintenance needs to our attention.
