Livingston County Transportation Coalition
The Livingston County Transportation Coalition is a collection of elected officials, business leaders, and community stakeholders who came together to discuss a county-wide vision for public transit. The Brighton City Council passed a resolution to join and support the Coalition. The group vision seeks to address the lack of access to public transit for Livingston County’s transit-dependent population, anticipate changing demographics and preferences, increase economic development, and improve the quality of life for all county residents. Their collaborative vision includes expansion of on-demand transit, development of a bus system, exploration of regional rail, and implementation of safety measures to improve the experiences of bicyclists and pedestrians. Please view the Coalition’s presentation for more detail.
The Livingston County Tranportation Coalition is held a Tranportation Summit on January 17, 2017 at Cleary University. Read the Summit Report to learn what was discussed.
